Use this screen to define, specify attributes, and manage revisions of the Statement of Work (SOW). A SOW is a specific statement regarding the requirements needed in a project or service contract. SOWs are unique by company, that is, the same SOW ID/Rev can exist in multiple companies. Lookup and query will retrieve only SOWs with company ID matching that of the logged-in user.

This check box defaults to selected and indicates that the SOW can be used. Keep it selected to allow this SOW to be used in new requests for quotes, requisitions, and purchase orders. If you clear this check box when creating a new revision, which results in all revisions (for the SOW ID, login user’s company) becoming inactive, Costpoint provides a warning message.
Select this check box to inactivate all previously saved revisions of this statement of work upon saving the newly created revision. This option is only available for new records. If you select this option and saves a new revision of a SOW, the system will look for other revisions (with matching SOW ID, and login user’s company), and change the status to inactive. If this option is not selected, and a new revision of a SOW is saved, the active flag on other revisions (with matching SOW ID, and login user’s company) will remain as is. You can also retrieve a previously saved SOW/revision, and manually activate or inactivate it.
