Create Proposal or Non Backlog (NPI1, NPI3, NPI6)

Use this screen to create a proposal, either from scratch or from an existing budget, EAC, or proposal, or to create a non-backlog project budget from a proposal or another non-backlog project budget.

A non-backlog project budget is a proposal that has been promoted to the special status of being a high probability potential award. Budgeting & Planning considers the special status non-backlog proposal as part of a reconciliation process that substantiates the level of operations that is reflected in the budget of a given organization.

Source

Under Source, select the source you want to use to create the proposal or non-backlog project budget. Options include the following:

Information from the selected source displays in the remaining fields under Source. Here you can view the Version number, Organization ID, Account Group, Cost Type, Start Date, End Date and Periods. The fields that display vary based on the source you selected.

Destination

Under Destination, select the type of proposal output you want to create. Options include the following:

Unless you are creating the proposal from scratch, some information auto-populates from the original source project. You can modify field information in the Version number, Organization ID, Account Group, Cost Type, Start Date, End Date and Periods.

Click Create to generate the destination output.
