Use this screen to import budget, EAC, or structured proposal information from a scheduling application.
You can import data from the following applications:
Primavera P6 or greater
MS Project 2002 or greater
Microsoft Excel
Select the application from which you want to import. Choose from the following options:
MS Project 2002 or Greater - Select this option to import budget, EAC, or proposal information from MS Project version 2002 or greater.
Primavera P6 or Greater - Select this option to import budget, EAC, or proposal information from Primavera version P6 or greater.
Microsoft Excel - Select this option to import project budget information from Excel.
Select the type of information you want to import. Choose from the following options:
Budget - Select this option to import to a budget.
EAC - Select this option to import to an EAC.
Proposal - Select this option to import to a proposal.
Under Map Resources, select the Display All Generic Staff check box if you need to select generic staff created by anyone under the same Security Org.
Enter, or click , to select, the project ID.
This section displays instructions specific to the type of import you are performing. After you complete each step of the import process, this section is updated with instructions for the next step. Refer to these instructions as you advance through the import process.
Click Overview (MS Excel) to display additional instructions for importing budget data from Microsoft Excel, including instructions for downloading the Excel template.
Use fields in the Upload subtask to upload the XML file that contains your raw budget, EAC, or proposal data. For detailed task instructions, refer to the Instructions section of the screen.
Enter, or click , to select the location where the file you are uploading is stored.
Enter the name of the file you want to upload or click to select it.
Click Upload to upload the selected file.
After the file is uploaded successfully, click the Map WBS link to display the Map WBS subtask. For detailed task instructions, refer to the Instructions section of the screen.
For each WBS row in the Map WBS subtask, enter, or click , in the Project column to select the project to which you want to map.
Click Reset Mapping to undo all the mapping selections you made.
When you have finished mapping the work breakdown structure, click Done Mapping.
Use fields in the Map Resource Sheets to subtask to map the names/ERP IDs imported from the XML file to the appropriate resource sheet. For detailed task instructions, refer to the Instructions section of the screen.
Select the resource sheet that you want to map.
Click Map Resources to display the Map Resources subtask, where you can modify the mapping information for each resource, including selecting a different sheet in the Sheet No. column.
Click Complete Mapping to apply your mapping selections.
