Use this screen to view records, create new records or copy from the generic staff list. You can also determine whether the resource is shared and active in this screen.
The Maintain Generic Staff screen allows you to establish generic job categories that are useful when you assign people that you do not already have on staff. It also enables you to reflect future growth in the company. It is important to populate this data before Costpoint Planning users begin creating budgets.
To maintain the Generic Staff Table, complete the following steps:
In Planning » Organization Budgeting » Controls and Utilities, select Maintain Generic Staff (MAM2,BOM2,BPM5).
Enter the job and rate information for the generic staff in the following fields:
Job Code
Job Description
Hourly Average
Accrual Rate
Select the Active check box to set the status to active.
Select the Shared check box to add the generic staff to budget tool Lookups where appropriate.
In Default PLC, enter the PLC if desired.
In Default Account ID, click to select the default account ID.
In Home Organization ID, click to select the Home Organization ID.
In Security Organization ID, click to select the Security Organization ID.
If you have designated that this generic staff be shared, the system allows it to be shared according to the security level you designate.
Any user who has access to the security level you choose for the generic staff, can use that generic staff in their budget
Click to save your changes.

You can now view all projects under a specific generic staff and all the generic staff usage. This grid prevents users from editing values (except for the accrual rate) for generic staff that are in use.

Click this button to create a new record for project level reporting. A new row is added to the table where you can assign the corresponding user access to projects by entering the required information like Project ID, Project Name and User ID. Click Save to finalize the new record. |
